With great care for this summer’s camp week attendees and staff leaders, The American Legion Law Enforcement Career Academy (ALLECA) for 2020 has been cancelled.
CDC Guidelines for safety while avoiding COVID-19 hazards would be a challenge to meet during our typical program.
Thank you for your understanding and our prayer is that next year will allow us a chance to get back on our typical schedule.

Cancellation Letter
COVID-19

For the first time in 39 years, our American Legion Law Enforcement
Career Academy, Class 2020, is canceled due to the current COVID-19
National pandemic. Our program will resume next year at the
Emmanuel Pines Camp June 12 thru June 19, 2021. Those applicants that have already been
received will be placed on the roster for the 2021 class.
The ALLECA Board of Directors convened on March 23, 2020 at 7:00 PM via Conference
call, to which the board voted to cancel this year’s ALLECA Class 2020. A letter of
recommendation that concurs with the boards decision is from Captain Diana Mondragon
of AZ DPS, citing that staffing at DPS has been prioritized by DPS and the Governor of
Arizona to support the efforts of public safety during this pandemic which would make
staffing for ALLECA nearly impossible. Matt has contacted Emmanuel Pines Camp and they
have agreed to release ALLECA from the 2020 contract and rescheduling the class for June
12 thru 19, 2021.
To our supporters, your recent donations have been received and deposited into the
ALLECA account, rest assured, your contributions to support our program is secure and
will be used for the next ALLECA Class 2021.
