The 2026 Department of Arizona Convention is shaping up to be an unforgettable weekend of fellowship, patriotism, and leadership. As Legionnaires, Auxiliary members, and guests gather this June, we have a very special highlight on the schedule to officially celebrate our top leadership.
On Saturday, June 27, 2026, American Legion Post 35 will proudly host the Department Commander’s Homecoming Dinner and Magic Show honoring Department Commander Gary Vaughan.
This signature event takes place during the convention weekend, offering an excellent opportunity to relax, enjoy fantastic camaraderie, and celebrate the Commander’s dedicated year of service and leadership to the Department of Arizona.

Evening Schedule
- 4:30 PM: No-host Cocktails
- 5:30 PM: Program Begins
- 6:30 PM: Dinner is Served (followed by a spectacular Magic Show!)
Dinner Menu & Cost
Tickets for the Homecoming Dinner are $20 per person. Every meal includes a fresh salad, warm roll, and seasonal vegetables. You can choose from three delicious entrée options:

Because this event takes place during the busy convention weekend, advanced registration is strictly required so the host post can finalize headcount and meal choices.
