Legionnaire Hatch was a 29 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having retired as a Master Sergeant, serving in an active duty Federal billet with the Arizona Air National Guard. She entered the Air Force in 1961 and over the next many years served active or reserve duty with the Air Force before moving to Arizona and joining the Arizona Air Guard as an active duty member until her retirement in 2000. Prior to her coming to Arizona, she was a deputy sheriff with the Cook County, Illinois, Sheriff’s Office.
Judy is survived by her two adult sons and grandchildren.
She is most noted for her leading the annual Pearl Harbor remembrance ceremonies in Phoenix over the past several years, along with her several years of service as the representative for The American Legion Department of Arizona to the Veterans Administration Medical Center Advisory Council Phoenix.
Please keep the Hatch Family in your thoughts and prayers.
Blessings,
Angel
