The final phase-line for our membership renewals and recruitment is Wednesday, May 13th. We are so close to 100% with all the potential to not only meet, but exceed our goals. I have some updates for you in the message today. In summary, we need to finish strong. I am back here in Indianapolis with many departments vowing to overtake the lead we have held for some three months now. Step up, leave no application unprocessed. Call every “expred” member and invite them back. If a member is short on cash for dues, like any other family member, let’s help them out. Think outside the box, feel it in your gut…you’ll know what to do as the final minutes of the drive count down.
As I said in my last message, our strength is in our numbers. In our numbers, we find extraordinary talents, to include our future leaders. In our numbers, we find the heart and soul of The Legion and the capacity to fulfill the purposes of our Four Pillars. Membership is truly the lifeblood of The American Legion.
Now, let’s reach out to every veteran we meet and invite them aboard. Let’s take the time, in the final days, to do our very best and finish at the top. Thank you for your great efforts to keep us strong, and ensure our veterans have a family to be part of. S/F Gary
