As we prepare for the 2026 session of Arizona Boys State at the University of Arizona, we find ourselves in an incredible position: student interest is at an all-time high. However, this success brings a serious challenge. As highlighted in our recent update regarding unsponsored students, there are still many qualified young men across the state waiting for a sponsor to ensure they can attend.
While our individual American Legion Posts do the heavy lifting in recruitment and local sponsorship, the sheer volume of applicants this year requires a statewide, collective effort.
Below is a formal call to action from our Department Marketing Director, Frank Hirrill, outlining how every member of the American Legion family—regardless of their Post’s current budget—can play a vital role in funding these students through our zero-fee Zeffy platform.
