American Legion Post 129 Helps Queen Creek Fire Department Reach Water Drive Goal
Queen Creek, AZ — The American Legion Duane Ellsworth Post 129 showed its commitment to community service this week by donating 177 cases of bottled water to support the Queen Creek Fire Department’s annual water drive.
The Fire Department set a goal of collecting 250 cases of water to help those in need during Arizona’s extreme summer heat. Thanks to Post 129’s generosity, the drive not only met its target but surpassed it, ensuring that families and individuals facing the desert’s sweltering temperatures will have access to life-saving hydration.
“This is what the Legion is all about—supporting our community, stepping up when there’s a need, and taking care of people,” said Craig Barnes, Commander of Post 129. “Our members are proud to stand alongside the Queen Creek Fire Department in keeping our community safe and strong.”
The donation reflects the American Legion’s ongoing mission of service, not only to veterans and their families but also to local communities. Post 129 has been active in Queen Creek through outreach programs, fundraising efforts, and partnerships with civic organizations.
Queen Creek Fire officials expressed gratitude for the Legion’s contribution, emphasizing how important community partnerships are in helping meet local needs during the hottest time of year.
The successful water drive stands as another example of the positive impact veterans and their families continue to have on the Queen Creek community.
