 As you have likely heard, there is a large 2.5-acre Heroes Memorial being built in Oro Valley, and Post 132 is a major sponsor. All of the Uniformed Services will be prominently represented and honored. I sit on the Executive Board for the Memorial project. Construction has begun in earnest, and we are shooting for a Ribbon Cutting by Memorial Day 2024. If the construction schedule holds up, we should also be able to hold an event or two at the site in conjunction with the 2024 Legion Convention.Â
I am asking for your assistance in spreading the word to all Arizona Legion Posts about this project. We feel that there will be significant interest among the Arizona Legion family. The website for the memorial is below. We have begun the sale of over fourteen hundred 8 x 8 Memorial Bricks as well, and I am attaching a flyer to enable all interested in honoring someone special in their lives through a brick purchase.
