Heads up folks!
I just received a call on my (rarely used) landline claiming that I would have my power shut off within 45 minutes for non payment of my bill. I was instructed to press a key to settle my account.
This is a scam call! I hung up, as should everyone. Hang up, and (if necessary) settle your account the way you normally would, or call APS to arrange assistance.
During this pandemic, APS is NOT cutting services, or charging late fees for delinquent accounts. I called APS to report/confirm that this was a scam call and the representative confirmed it was a scam that they’re aware of.
Stay safe, keep a level head. Don’t give into intimidating callers trying to invoke a reactive response and steal your money and identity.
