Military/Veteran Resource Navigator Training
Phoenix – January 15, 2020 – 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Arizona is home to 600,000 service members, veterans & their families.
You can help them to Be Connected by becoming an Arizona Military/Veteran Resource Navigator!
Everyone can have a role in connecting service members, veterans & their families to information, support & resources. In the same way that CPR or First Aid training prepares you to help someone who is injured, Resource Navigator training prepares you to help someone who needs resources. This training covers:
· The available tools to help someone connect to resources, including a support line and Resource Connection Guide
· How to help a person or family find the right door
· Key factors that may affect a person or family’s access to resources
· Navigation strategies
· How to link into the military/veteran community to find resources to address a range of issues and needs
Comments from Resource Navigator training participants:
"The Resource Connection Guide is the best tool I have ever seen for helping service members, veterans & families.”
“This training is exactly what we need for our community.”
“I’ve worked in this field for a long time, and I learned so many new things today.”
