Please arrive between 11:15 am and 12:20 pm; the Guest Speaker program starts at 12:30 pm sharp
The date: Friday, December 3rd
The program: A Day to Live in Infamy presented by Dr. Valerie Adams, a Principal Lecturer in U.S. diplomatic history at Arizona State University, will be examining the events that led up to the Japanese strike on Pearl Harbor and the heroism on display throughout the Pacific Islands that fateful day. Dr. Adams taught at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott before moving to the Valley and joining the faculty at ASU. She teaches history courses in aviation, engineering, the Second World War, and the Vietnam Conflict. She has published on the national security policies during the Eisenhower Administration, as well as articles on science and engineering during the Cold War. She currently has an active research agenda in aviation history.
