Always suspect an email as hacked especially if the wording is odd for a contact and ESPECIALLY if follow on emails are making requests of you for $$$ help!
This includes gift cards.
We have never, nor will we ever ask for gift cards and if valid help is needed, you should confirm that contact information makes sense using current directory or other verifiable source.
Not long ago, a government office was taken for a couple million $ using a bank transfer request.
The hackers posed as another office of that government. Anyone can be targeted and many have been victims. Do everything that you can to avoid being a victim.
