The largest veterans service organization in Arizona is HIRING: The American Legion Department of Arizona is hiring an Assistant Department Adjutant, that will help lead our state office, serving nearly 130 Legion Posts, over 30,000 veteran members and legion family members in the Grand Canyon State.
Responsibilities include helping the Department Adjutant, manage staff, coordinate official meetings, conferences and conventions, maintaining records for the posterity of the organization, creating new and collaborative ways of working and other general duties as assigned; in sum, this new and exciting role will be critical to the future success of the Arizona American Legion and how they serve the veteran community.
This position will report directly to the Department Adjutant and Department Commander, and will require substantial in-state travel.
An ideal candidate is someone who has a passion to serve the veteran community, is extremely organized, understands and adopts new technologies to create a professional working environment, is a self-starter, modern and dedicated to serving others and their community. Veteran preferred.
